Kiwi Cook Islanders get a chance to celebrate loud and proud in their own Maeva Nui

For years, Cook islanders here have travelled back to their homeland to check out the Meave Nui cultural festival during the August constitution celebrations. But this year the community in NZ finally got to hold their own version of Maeva Nui in Manukau on Saturday. For many community elders it’s been a long-time coming.
